1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as your cookie choices) over time and help the owner understand how the site is used. “Similar technologies” include pixels, local storage, and SDKs that work in comparable ways. We refer to all of these as “cookies” in this Policy.
Cookies can be first-party (set by roshanamarujala.com) or third-party (set by another service, such as Google). They can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (which remain for a set period).
Current status: this Site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. We measure traffic with cookieless analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores no personal data, so it needs no consent. Cookie-based Google Analytics is configured but not active, so the Google cookies listed below are not set unless it is later enabled and you opt in. The only stored entry is an essential, first-party record of your privacy choice.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
- Strictly Necessary / Essential, required for the Site to work and to remember your privacy choices. Always active; no consent required.
- Analytics / Performance, help us understand traffic and improve content. We currently use cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that sets no cookies and needs no consent. Cookie-based Google Analytics 4 is off by default and would be set only after you opt in.
- Functional, remember preferences you set (currently minimal beyond consent storage). Off by default.
- Targeting / Advertising, would support advertising (e.g., a future Google AdSense deployment). None currently used; off by default and only activated with your consent and an updated policy.

If Google AdSense is added later, this table will be updated with the relevant advertising cookies and durations before they are set.
4. How to Manage Cookies
You can manage cookies two ways:
- On this Site: use (in the footer) to accept or reject categories at any time, or to withdraw consent.
- In your browser: block or delete cookies via your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the Site.
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Cookies and other site data.
- Apple Safari: Settings/Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data / Block all cookies.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
You can also use a browser or extension that sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal; we detect and honour it automatically (see the Privacy Policy). To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, install Google’s add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
5. Analytics Providers
We measure Site usage with a cookieless, privacy-first service that sets no cookies: Cloudflare Web Analytics (aggregate traffic; no cross-site tracking or fingerprinting). Because it uses no cookies and stores no personal data, it requires no consent. Google Analytics 4 (cookie-based) is configured but not currently active; if it is ever enabled it sets the cookies listed above, anonymises IP addresses, retains data for 14 months, and operates under Google Consent Mode v2 so it respects your consent choices (how Google processes data).
6. Changes to Cookie Policy
We will update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies changes or the law requires. The “Last Updated” date will change, and for material changes we will re-request your consent through the banner.
